Practice Accountant (Part Time) – We’re Hiring
We are looking for a experienced accountant with a minimum of 5 years’ post qualification experience to join our team. You will get the opportunity to work with a fast-growing, accounting, technology and consulting business based in County Cork with clients located across Ireland and internationally.
What we need
The Practice Accountant will have strong statutory accounts and company law knowledge and lead the process of preparing and filing accounts for aperio clients.
This role is part-time (25 hours per week) and we are happy to offer flexibility both in terms of how these hours are worked across the week and the location (home / office).

We help our clients to streamline and improve their business operations and support their growth with monthly financial information and guidance. Our client base includes a number of award-winning, export-focused businesses.
The Role
The role will include:
Working with the aperio team and clients
- Cooperate with the aperio team to manage workload and upcoming deadlines
- Contribute to regular team meetings and client updates
- Manage direct reports
- Communicate with clients to gather information and present accounts
Managing client accounts
- Client accounts analytical review
- Assisting junior staff with accounts preparation
- Management accounts preparation
- Statutory accounts preparation
- VAT return preparation
- Corporation tax preparation
- Income tax return preparation
Continuous development
- Keep up to date on accounting practices and applicable legislation
- Suggest improvements to client processes and workflows
- Learn new systems
- Gain experience across a broad range of clients and industries
Education/Professional Qualification
- Qualified Accountant – with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience
- Audit qualifications an advantage, but not essential
Experience Required
- Experience with a recognised accounting software and MS Office
- Experience with cloud computing packages like Sage, Xero or Quickbooks an advantage, but not essential
